God before the universe
This model begins with God, rather than with a universe that somehow exists apart from Him. God is Divine Awareness: complete in being, unlimited in power and aware of all that is in the never-ending Now. Form, movement and relationship belong within this reality.
The account of creation uses the limited vocabulary available to us to describe the limitless. An opening and its immediate fulfilment describe a movement of divine attention within awareness. They do not describe a deficiency in God, an effort He must make, or a delay in His completeness.
The person, the ego and the observer
From this foundation, Gary distinguishes awareness, local consciousness, mind and body. A living person has a name, a body and a history. The ego adds the imagined independent owner: the story of a separate self assembled from memory and anticipation. The television analogy distinguishes the reality of the screen from the drama represented upon it.
The observer notices what is happening without becoming absorbed in the story. The Third Voice is deliberate speech of the mind addressed to the persona by name. It brings the person and the thought into view, then allows the instruction to finish in quiet presence.
Allowing God to live through you
The telephone analogy describes how incessant thinking occupies our attention. The apparent busy signal belongs to our receptivity; it does not obstruct God or limit His awareness. Surrender allows the body and mind to serve what awareness reveals now.
This is expressed in ordinary life through deep listening, honest speech, thoughtful care and responsible action. The invitation is to recognise the living reality beneath the personal story and allow that recognition to shape how we live.
